Make sure that the dishes and treats do not reach the hands of anyone under the age of 18. With all the warnings or special reminders out of the way, let us share the list of edibles that you can try cooking in your kitchen this holiday season.
Gingerbread
One dish that has to be a star that shines bright during any given holiday is gingerbread. When infused with cannabis, it is oftentimes ironically referred to as ganjabread. To make the fluffy texture of this yummy, well-recognized dish a person requires a special list of ingredients. The ingredient lists must feature all of the following.
- ¼ cup cannabutter
- ¼ cup regular butter
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup full-fat plain yogurt
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup unbleached white flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
- 1 teaspoon crushed fennel seed (optional)
You go about making this cannabis-infused gingerbread cake or simple bread in the same way you would make it normally. The only important thing to remember is to prepare cannabutter on the previous day. It is quite easy to do the same. A person needs to simply simmer water along with 1 or 2 cups of butter for sometime and then gradually add ground marijuana to it. This mixture needs to further be simmered on low heat for 3-4 hours while stirring continuously. Pour this mixture into a jar and keep it in the refrigerator to harden it.
This makes for the best homemade cannabutter. You use this butter to cook this special gingerbread cake or simple bread. Whisk away flour, ground ginger, baking powder, and baking soda in a melted mixture of cannabutter and honey. Place fennel seeds or cloves into it as per preference. Combine all the main elements like you would for a normal cake and bake it for 50 to 60 minutes.
